It's my last pattern release of 2019 and it's a super handy little guy that you can whip up quickly. The Buddy ID Pouch (purchase it here) is great for selling at markets, or adding as tags to gifts with their name in the vinyl pocket and letting them use it afterward. I hope you love it as much as we did during testing! And don't forget that you can sew-a-long with Mae of Isabella Sparsh on YouTube!
Features
The Buddy ID Pouch is an adaptable little pouch with a vinyl pocket in the front designed to hold your nametag for a conference or transit pass when traveling around. Then a vinyl pocket in back that can hold your device, whether that's a phone or mp3 player. And last but not least, you have a secure zipper pocket which you can simply add RFID to protect whatever is inside from your electronic device, such as hotel room keys that are VERY susceptible to de-magnetizing. It's hung on a lanyard that you could make to use on its own, even without a pouch. Don't forget the AWESOME video Mae of Isabella Sparsh does up for all my patterns! This one is no different, here's her YouTube!
The Pattern
The pattern for the Buddy ID Pouch includes diagrams for every single step, making things clear as you move through the design, pattern pieces for all the pieces, even all the rectangles and squares, and a worksheet to modify the size. The worksheet allows you to measure the device that you want the pouch to fit, and adjust each pattern piece to create your new and updated cutting list. Adapt the design to suit your needs!!
The Tester Photos
As usual, I truly feel I have the greatest tester team in the world, and even when we go into market prep season, they still pull through for me!!!
Line of Fine Line Designs is first because she worked her butt off with me coming up with the pre-tested version before it went to testers - after my original we had to downsize it to fit her phone and came up with the sizing worksheet that we felt was ideal to help you re-size yours!
Piera of ByPiera did up this Harry Potter version - I just love the castle!
Mary-Nell of Nellie Blue's Place (Instagram here) used some Tula Pink and focused on the adorable parrots here:
Mae of Isabella Sparsh (Instagram here) did up this fancy red version and did up a YouTube so you aren't sewing alone!
Tracy of Purple KATZ Quilting pulled together this fun design, and yes, that's her Tula Pink phone inside it - making it even more beautiful!
Tara of Mooi Designs found some characters that make me giggle just by seeing them - Phineas and Ferb! And then her son modeled it for us!!! I love it!
Melissa of Handmade Millyn did up her tester with fabric printed with company logo - I love that, skip the business cards altogether!
Leah of Paws Off Designs did up this classy looking Buddy!
Cheryl Strain of Cheryl's Quilts and Crafts whipped up this version with an awesome custom fabric!!!! I love Stitch!!!
Then Abbe of Just an E (Instagram here) quickly whipped these up in the middle of her market prep - I was so excited she was able to fit them in! And she's gifting them, which I love!!!
Last but certainly not least is Michelle with her custom fabric - gremlins!!!
And there are always behind the scenes people that are helping out to make this happen - my proofreaders Jen of Sincerely Jen Patterns and Cyndi of Nosy Pepper Patterns - they keep me sane! Then these three beauties took a trip to Houston Quilt Market to help show off the new fabric line Stag and Thistle by the Natural Born Quilter for Northcott Fabrics.
Share with me how you are using your Buddy ID Pouch - the possibilities are limitless!!!!
