John Duffel Bag - PDF Download
The John Duffel Bag is a pattern with 3 sizes so you can make the perfect size for yourself. It is a soft and slouchy style duffel that will appeal to everyone in your life, especially if they travel or camp.
The pattern was designed for quilting cotton with a cork or vinyl base and can be made on a domestic sewing machine! Don't hesitate to experiment with light canvas or denim to make this bag your very own!
The bag has two zipper compartments on the outside, that open wide to keep your belongings separate. You will also find two interior mesh pockets and a zipper pocket on the interior, to help keep you organized. Also included are a design for a shoulder strap pad and a grip for the handles. The bag is turned at the end through the zipper pocket, so the turning gap is well hidden and there is a small amount of hand stitching to close turning gaps throughout the project. Webbing is used for the handles, strap connectors and crossbody strap, to simplify the construction.
